Indicate (X) the universities that offer the common course. BHSU DSU NSU SDSMT X SDSU USD

Additional minor changes also proposed at this time (enumerate below):

For a list of minor course modifications, see http://www.sdbor.edu/services/academics/AAC/guidelines.htm

SDSU currently teaches a course, HDFS 210 Lifespan Development, which fulfills a general education social science requirement. DSU has received permission to create EPSY 210 Lifespan Development from SDSU. 2. Provide a justification for all of the changes noted. To assist us in reaching the 120 credit hours, while maintaining the K-12 Educational Technology Endorsement for all education majors, this class is being created to fulfill a general education requirement in the social science area, as it is at SDSU. This course will replace EPSY 428 Child & Adolescent Development (3 credits). Also, our Exercise Science majors who enter graduate school in physical or occupational therapy are required to have a course in lifespan development and so this will allow them to take this course and not have to pick it up while in graduate school.
