Universidad CES offers the possibility to do academic exchanges in many areas of knowledge and in multiple ways. For informative purposes, you can find the offered programs below.

Summer language and culture program

The summer Spanish program is intended for foreign students who come for educational exchange programs by agreement between Universities for short periods of time, or students interested in summer courses.

Program Intensity: Intensive 40 hours course, from 9:00 am to 12:00 m (3 hours a day for 3 weeks)

Value of the program: USD 300, printed material and tuition included.

Objective:To facilitate the acquisition of strategic communicative competences in Spanish, promoting the integration with Colombian culture and language, understanding a wide range of situations.

Lesson Plan:In order to comprehend and attend this course, the student must have an intermediate level of Spanish. Some of the topics that students are going to study are:

• Ciudades de Colombia, características y clima.• Expresiones idiomáticas colombianas.• Rutinas, hábitos de los pacientes y trato con ellos.• Descripción del cuerpo humano, enfermedades, síntomas y vocabulario

propio del país.• Aspectos culturales de Colombia: música, cine, historia

Spanish courses on campus

To facilitate the acquisition of strategic communicative competences in Spanish, promoting a deeper knowledge and understanding of Colombian culture and language, the students will gain speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills of the Spanish language, so they will be able to communicate with confidence in Spanish speaking countries.

To take into account:

Each faculty establishes its own academic schedule and all courses have a length of 6 months. International students can take any course as long as they do not overlap with any other. Applicants must start their processes during the following periods:

• For the first semester of the academic year (January – July), applications must be submitted in July of the previous year.

• For the second semester of the academic year (July – December), applications must be submitted in January of the same year.

Practical observation activities (observerships)

Important dates: 1. To apply to an internship on the first semester of the academic year,

application must be submitted during the month of July of the previous year. For the second semester of the academic year, application must be completed in the month of January of that current year.

2. For Medicine students only: to apply to a clinical rotation for the first semester of the academic year, students must complete application in June of the previous year. For the second semester of the academic year, students must submit application in December of the previous year.
