The Original Adjustable Door Hinge’s patented design uses a threaded bolt instead of a smooth pin. The door side hinge knuckles are threaded as well and because of the weight of the door, as you turn the bolt, the door will ride up or down on the threading. We use a 28 thread per inch count, which allows the hinge to carry a weight of over 300 pounds per hinge. The de-sign of our hinge also allows you to use it on left or right opening doors. Just unthread the bolt the entire way and rethread it from the other side. The Original Adjustable Door Hinge will allow you to move your door up or down within the frame 1/4” either way. It will also al-low you to move the door side to side almost 3/16” as well. To adjust side to side, before you tighten the bottom side cap nut, put a small wedge, flat head screw driver or a folded piece of paper between the door and the frame when it is closed to cre-ate a gap and tighten the bottom cap nut 1/4 turn past hand tight. Now your door is adjusted side to side as well. The Original Adjustable Door Hinge is the only adjustable hinge in the market that allows you to easily install it with no additional mortising. All you need is a pair of pliers and a Phillips head screw driver. The Original Adjustable Door Hinge saves you time and money from traditional sticking and rubbing door repairs and can be adjusted anytime there is movement in the home or changing soil conditions.
