Step 1 – Identify a Training

Where is the Schedule Posted?

Advanced Trainings (aka Two-Week-Trainings TWT) are posted on the HOMEPORT website.

Once on the HOMEPORT homepage, their will be a link clearly indicating the current Advanced Training Schedule

Step 1 – Identify a Training

• When is the Schedule Posted?The Summer Advanced Training Schedule is usually posted in APR or MAY.

The Winter Advanced Training Schedule is usually posted in SEP or OCT.

• How will I know? Advanced Training Schedules are promulgated via NSCC Information Letter.

These letters are published on the HOMEPORT website.

Step 2 – Complete the Request

NSCTNG 001 - Request for Training Authority (Cadet)

NSCTNG 025 - This form, used as a supplement to the Report of Medical History - Authorization, Consent and Release (NSCADM 020) is MANDATORY for all Cadets who are currently taking medication and will report to training with prescription and/or non-prescription (over the counter) medications.

Step 3 – Obtain Specific Req’s

• Each training has a website that advises specific instructions. This website will be noted on the schedule.

Step 4 – Submit Form & Payment

Submit completed NSCTNG 001 (NSCTNG 025 / 015 if applicable) to the Assistant Administrative Officer for Advanced Trainings.

Payment: Money Order or Certified Bank Check. Made out to “USNSCC” for Hancock Cadets (ages 14-18) Or “NLCC” for Midway Cadets (ages 10-13). If your cadet is 13 they may be in Midway or Hancock, so please figure out what unit they are in. They should know.

But Wait…My Cadet…

Is going to bring medication to a training

If your cadet is bringing medications to training, you must complete NSCTNG 025 and NSCADM 015.

These forms can be accessed on the Homeport Page under TRAINING FORMS for (NSCTNG 025) and ADMINISTRATIVE FORMDS for (NSCADM 015).

GET ON TOP OF THIS AS THE NSCADM 015 MUST BE COMPLETED BY OUR CO, THEN APPROVED BY YOUR REGIONAL DIRECTOR AND THE NHQ REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO SUBMISSION FOR TRAINING.

ADA only NO MEDICATIONS

If your cadet only has an ADA accommodation, you need only submit NSCADM 015.

Please contact the Commanding Officer if you need an ADA Accommodation.

GET ON TOP OF THIS AS THE NSCADM 015 MUST BE COMPLETED BY OUR CO, THEN APPROVED BY YOUR REGIONAL DIRECTOR AND THE NHQ REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO SUBMISSION FOR TRAINING.

Step 5: Sea Bag Inspection• Download the Sea Bag List and round up all required

items. • The AT Officer will schedule a Sea Bag Inspection

approximately 1 week prior to your cadet’s departure.

• Money Order (Or Certified Bank Check – No cash/personal checks) Made out to “USNSCC” for Hancock and “NLCC” for Midway.
