St. Mary Catholic Parish – November 27, 2011
Dear Parishioners, Advent! Wow! Just as we are downing the last of the turkey left-overs, a new liturgical year begins. Please remember, first and foremost, this is a time of preparation for the celebration of our Lord's final coming and a celebration of his birth. Secondly, yes, the "new missal" translation is now in full effect. Like it or not, we have to live with it. We'll get used to it over time. Please be patient... Advent waiting! As we prepare this holy season, let us keep what is truly important in mind, while letting the lesser things of life go. Peace and prayers, Fr. Bill Wegher

it is to continue to be a place of service and hope for years to
come. Make an investment in your parish. All gifts made on or

SPECIAL THANKS November is the twelfth anniversary of the Kans-for-Kids
Program sponsored by St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus. For
the past twelve years this parish has supported these children
through your generous donations of cans, bottles and cash on
the third weekend of each month.
The monies collected are solely for the support of these
specific children. The six children receive the benefits of this
program through food, clothing, shelter, dental/medical aid
and religious education. Because of this parish’s generosity
and support, these impoverished children now have a chance
to pull themselves up out of the poverty and deprivation!!
Times are tough for all of us and are getting harder and
harder but you are the only hope these children have. Please
don’t forget the support for “our” children through the
upcoming holidays and 2012.
Thanks to each member/family that has donated cans bottles
and cash for this program. THE PROGRAM IS WORKING

Finding My Way Home by Henri J.M. Nouwen Here is a secret for us about waiting. If we wait in the conviction that a seed has been planted and that something has already begun, it changes the way we wait. Active waiting implies being fully present to the moment with the conviction that something is happening where we are and that we want to be present in it. A waiting person is someone who is present to the moment, believing that this moment is the moment.
