Introduction

The Viewer software should be installed and saved in a new folder at the local disk of

a pc computer.

aEEG and EEG information stored in the VitaLogik monitor equipped with

CerebraLogik, can be export to DSD (Disk on key) via the USB port on the VitaLogik.

Two type of aEEG / EEG data can be export to the DSD

During Monitoring: Sections of aEEG / EEG

After Save and Discharge: Full aEEG / EEG with marking of sections

To view the stored data, export it to the DSD on the monitor and then, insert the

DSD to your PC and open it with the aEEG viewer software.

Note that the section data is limited to the duration of the section, while full case

will include marking of the section to allow easy and fast access to the marked

sections.

To Install the Viewer software on your PC, just save the program at your computer.

1. Start aEEG Viewer

>> To start the Viewer software and import data

On your PC desktop, double click on the aEEG Viewer icon.

This will open the Import Case panel with the following icons (left to right):

• Import Case

• Refresh Case directory

• Delete case

• Change Case directory.

1.1 Import Case 1. Insert DSD (Disk on Key) to the PC,

2. Use the Import icon (first to the left) to input the files

- Section information – Exported during monitoring marked by Icon

- Saved information – From Save and Discharged patients marked by Icon

3. In the Select box insert ( √ ) for files to be imported to the Viewer

4. Files that where not yet imported to the viewer are marked by

1.2 Refresh Use Refresh icon (middle) to view all USBs each with its list of files

1.3 Delete 1. To delete a file select it by insertion of ( √ ) click on the Delete icon.

2. A confirmation panel will open – Answer

• "Yes" to Delete one by one

• "Yes to all" to delete all

• 'No" to clear the request

• "Cancel" to exit

1.4 Open a Case When a case or several cases and sections where down loaded, a new panel appears

With an "Open Case" icon at the left of the top row

To view a case, select the row of the case and click on the "Open Case" icon,

Or double click on the row.

This will open the case display panel.

1.5 Channel display configuration

Use icon to configure the case display for the following options:

1. Case directory: the source of cases displayed on the viewer

2. EEG Channels Naming: Channel names: #1- #2 - Cross or Left-Right - Cross.

Note: The channel display #1- #2 - Cross is suitable for Monitor SW versions 7.1 and

up.

1.6 Export a case

Select a case raw and press on the icon to open the Save as window.

Save the zipped case file at the desired folder.

2. Case Display Panel Description At the left of the top row there is an icon for showing the case list

Under the top row there are two channels of 3 hours with pairs of aEEG and EEG at

the time of the cursor.

Under the EEG panels there is a list of numeric vital signs at the time of the cursor.

To the right of the aEEG graphs, a column for Setting and Navigation of the graphs.

The three icons on top of this column are:

• Save Image (camera)

• Print (printer)

• Send by e-mail (envelop)

The next three bars are used for setting and navigation:

• Navigation

• Sections

• Events

• Measurements

• comments

• Settings

Click on the relevant bar to activate the function:

Press on the icon to configure witch vital signs to display:

2.1 Navigation Navigation provides a set of keys to:

2.1.1 aEEG Scroll to the left (earlier) or right (later) in one hour shifts.

Or go to the beginning or end of the information.

2.1.2 EEG roll, by 1 second pages, or continuous scroll.

The speed of the paging can be set by the horizontal control bar

2.1.3 EEG Scroll in one second steps (arrows) or in 6 second steps (double arrow)

2.2 Sections Activating the Section selected during the aEEG/EEG monitoring.

Arrows will enable skipping from one section to the next or the previous, each

section starting at the left of the display with the cursor on the start time of the

sector.

When a section is activated, it will appear as a yellow background on the aEEG Panel.

With the curser located at the beginning of the section. As follows:

2.3 Events Activating an event will locate the curser at the exact time point. When only one

channel is displayed, it can be viewed in parallel to the ECG strip.

Toggle between the screen and the screen to see all features at the event.

2.4 Measurements Activating the Measurement tool enables to measure the upper and lower amplitudes:

Adjust the curser on the specific time point and use the upper and left rulers on the

related amplitude and press on Save. The following Numeric Values will will

populate the table as follows:

a. Time point

b. Channel: 1/2/L/R/C

c. Minimum/Low Amplitude number

d. Maximum/High Amplitude number

e. Span = (Max – Min)

f. Average = Max – (Max – Min)/2

2.5 Comments:

All case comments can be inserted in free writing at the following comments window:

2.6 Settings Setting provides a set of keys to generate the aEEG display format

- Channels will show either one channel or 2 channels

- Leads will set the top #1, or bottom #2 as either channel 1/Left, channel 2/Right

or C (Cross)

- aEEG Range can be either 100 μVolt or 200 μVolt

- Sweep Speed can be either 15 mm/sec or 30mm/sec nominal sweep speed.

- Use the horizontal bar to set to Gain between 10 μVolt/cm and 200 μVolt/cm.

- Quality Scale can be ON/OF

- Grid lines can be behind or at the background

- Vertical Grid can be shown either every 10 minutes or every 30 minutes or none.

Note: For the definition of the quality scale, press the icon, located at the top

of the right scale:
