Main geographical presence in:
Investment Banking
Our Investment Banking group provides a vast
array of advisory and capital-raising solutions to
corporations, institutions and governments. Since
our acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ operations in
Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, we
have had the opportunity to synchronize our
established Japanese client base with this global
network and provide truly world-class services.
What’s your role?
Deal execution: You will work closely with clients
and execution teams on mandated transactions,
including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures,
capital raisings and restructurings.
Client relationship management: You can expect
to generate and present ideas at client meetings
alongside senior bankers.
Strategic Analysis: Through financial, structural
and business risk analysis, you will support
transactions and client presentations.
Global Markets
Within our Equities and Fixed Income businesses,
we handle client transactions for corporations,
governments and investment funds around the
world. We also act as market makers, trading in
fixed income, equity securities, currencies,
derivatives, as well as structured financial
products.
What’s your role?
Sales: Developing and maintaining strong
relationships with institutional clients, including
pension funds, hedge funds, insurance
companies and other corporate clients.
Trading: Assisting traders in buying and selling
securities in the secondary market on behalf of
clients or the firm; market making and capital
commitment.
Research: Collecting, analysing and assessing
industry and company information to assist the
research analysts in providing market insight and
investment ideas for institutional investors and
internal clients.
Structuring: Designing and developing innovative
products and strategies that are tailored to
specific client needs.

Internship Programs
Our summer interns can look forward to the same level of exposure as a first-year Analyst or Associate. We expect you to form effective
relationships with colleagues while showing a commitment to our values. During the course of the program, you will be assigned a mentor and a
buddy, and enjoy regular interaction with Nomura professionals at all levels. Perform well, and you may be extended an offer to return to Nomura
after graduation.

Explore Program
Explore Nomura is an opportunity for those graduating in 2016, to gain a headstart into the world of investment banking – and learn the skills
necessary for success. Our program provides students with a valuable insight into investment banking and Nomura – our businesses, strategy,
culture, people and values. The 2-day program consists of an industry and business overview, product and soft skills training, skills sessions and
networking events with junior and senior employees – all designed to help you develop your financial and leadership skills.
Applications will be accepted from March 2014 and the program will run in May/June 2014. This program is currently only available in Hong Kong.
Selection Process Deadlines
Applications All applications must be submitted online via our website at:
www.nomura.com/asia/careers where you will be asked to upload a CV and
covering letter. Analyst candidates will also be required to take an online
numerical and logical reasoning test.
As applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, you are recommended to apply as
soon as possible.

First Round Interviews
Final Round Interviews
Your application will be reviewed by the Campus Recruiting team and a team
from the business. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a 15 minute
competency based telephone screen.
2 or 3 interviews with junior business representatives. Interviews are typically
competency-based including: problem solving and analytical skills, team skills,
professional presence, leadership, initiative, communication skills.
3 or 4 interviews with senior business representatives. Interviews may contain
competency-based questions but you should also be prepared to discuss your
motivations for your chosen business area. You may also be asked to participate
in a case study, technical test or language test.
Interviews may be conducted face to face or via telephone or video conference.
