Message from the LCP Dear Aspiring EB

I am glad you took this bold step to apply. I believe by

taking this brave step you will be exposed to a great

experience that will definitely develop you in many ways. I

MESSAGE FROM THE EB Hey Aspiring EB,

We admire your initiative to try new things and challenge

yourself ,we promise you that this is going to be a life changing

experience . As AIESEC in SOC is a relatively new LC we hope you

do your best to lead yourselves to greater potentials and lead

this LC to a greater state.

LC History and Reality AIESEC in SOC was formed on December 25 2013

by the initiative of AIESEC in EiABC to expand to

Addis Ababa School of Commerce. Since then, even

though the LC had several raises; the LC has never

had any kind of realizations regarding exchanges.

Since the LC is at a such a young stage, it has room

to grow and do great things. It will all depend on the

leaders of the entity!

Role description of LCVP MAC The LC VP Marketing and Communications is the Responsible for Ensuring the effective management of communication and information dissemination in and out of the Local Committee. He/she is responsible to maintain the health and stability of communication and Information of the local committee. He/she works closely with relevant function(s) to co-deliver national and local events and programs to ensure brand alignment. He/she also ensures effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising.

Knowledge Required: -In depth understanding of the usage of GIS -Experience in Information dissemination and the usage of application packages like Power point, Graphic Software etc. -Ability to manage LC webpages and also WEB 2.0 (Facebook groups, Twitter, Flicker etc.) -Experience in management and co-ordination of Teams -EXPA knowledge -LDM -Customer flow

Role description of LCVP OGX: The LC VP OGX is the final responsible of execution of all oGCDP and oGIP products and processes in the LC. This person will create the strategies and plans for oGCDP and oGIP goals. VP OGX is responsible for ensuring full member education cycle of his/her members along with personal development through their AIESEC experience. The VP is responsible for coaching of the team leaders and team members of his function. He or she ensures quality of delivery for all EPs before and during their internship.

Knowledge Required: - A thorough understanding of how to sell to and communicate with universities , tertiary institutions and the environment. - A thorough understanding of how to create exchange products from the AIESEC Experience. - Broad understanding of department and school activities within the University. - Experience in management and co-ordination of teams. - Broad understanding of company and industry - activities within the city. - EXPA knowledge -LDM -Customer flow

Also include detailed list of your past and current roles in AIESEC and Conferences you have attended in the past - NB: the personal detail is also part of the CV - max 3 pages 2. Complete answers of the application questionnaire (PDF Format) , no more than 20 pages, Font min size 11 [Each Applicant is supposed to answer the General Questionnaire but The specific question goes to specific portfolios. So answer the Specific Questions found in the portfolio you are applying for. For example: LCP specific Questions is supposed to be answered by LCP applicants only, and LC VP TM specific Questions is supposed to be answered by LC VP TM applicants only and so on] 3.An essay describing yourself(one page). 4.FOR LCVP APPLICANT One endorsement letter from a parent.

Inclusions in the application package

• All should send a .rar or .zip file of their application with a format of :

[AIESEC IN SOC]_[LCVP 15.16]_ [PORTFOLIO]_[NAME] to the Election Committee([email protected] and [email protected]). • The application file in the application package must be named as:

(Name)_(Surname)_(Role)_AIESEC_in_SOC _15.16_Application • All Application in the application package must be in PDF format. • All applicants should upload their video on YouTube before the deadline and the video MUST NOT be part of the application package. One separate pdf file containing only the link of the video must be included in the application package before the deadline.

Why? 6.Do you think LC-LC country partnerships is important? If yes, which countries would you partner with? Why? 7.Do a 2 minute video on why exchange is relevant. MAC Questions 1. Describe the importance of MAC as a portfolio. 2. How does this portfolio align with your personal and career goals? 3. What makes you fit for the position VP MAC? 4. Do a SWOT evaluation of AIESEC in Commerce in terms of MAC, outline 5 key points with which it can be improved on. 5. Identify and describe in detail the synergy that MAC has with other portfolios. 6. In your opinion, what are the indicators of success of MAC? 7. How does marketing help the exchange areas? How would you improve marketing strategies to raise more EPs (Highlight your action steps and strategies towards it)? 8. Explain the marketing role with the new customer flow? 9. With the new GIS, how are you going to ensure a good conversation rate between the Visitors and the number of raises and matches? 10. How will you use PR to increase the brand awareness of our brand? Be as specific as possible. 11. Comprehensively explain everything that you know about GIS in terms of functionality, customer flow& applicability in each portfolio, composition, current flaws, user friendliness, interface and others. 12. Create a promotional campaign for iGCDP, TMP/ TLP and OGX. 13. Create a poster for each portfolio in your LC. 14. Create a 1 min promotional video promoting opportunities (be creative on it.)
