To capture the light, that feeling , that sense of place are challenges that seek to define Alan’s art . Alan’s work has been heavily Influenced by the grandeur of the Australia landscape and more recently the beauty of the Macleay region where he now calls home.
Primarily a traditional artist who enjoys most mediums Alan’s preference is to work in oils given the softness and flexibility of the medium.
