From the Dots - Cream (B), cut:• (6) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (64) 3 ½” squares.• (37) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (580) 2 ½” squares.
From the Dots - Brown (C), cut:• (2) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (16) 4 ½” squares.• (8) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding. From the Presents - Cream (D), cut:• (5) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (40) 4 ½” squares.

Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 5 ½” x 78 ½” strips.• (4) 5 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 5 ½” x 68 ½” strips.
From the Check - Cream (Backing), cut:• (3) 86” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 86” x 86” back.
Block Assembly1. Place (1) 3 ½” Fabric B square on the top left corner of (1) 12 ½” Fabric A square, right sides together (Fig. 1). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 1). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam (Fig. 2).

2. Follow Figure 3 for the seam direction to add a 3 ½” Fabric B square to each of the remaining corners of the 12 ½” Fabric A square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 4).
3. Repeat Steps 1-2 to make (16) Block One squares total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)11. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 68 ½” Fabric M strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 78 ½” Fabric M strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.
12. Layer and quilt as desired.
13. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric C strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
14. Bind as desired.
4. Place (1) 2 ½” Fabric B square on the top left corner of (1) 4 ½” Fabric C square, right sides together (Fig. 5). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 5). Flip open the triangle formed and press. 5. Follow Figure 7 for the seam direction to add a 2 ½” Fabric B square to each of the remaining corners of the 4 ½” Fabric C square to make (1) Unit 1 square (Fig. 8).
6. Repeat Steps 4-5 to make (16) Unit 1 squares total.
7. Repeat Steps 4-5 and refer to Figures 9-18 for fabric identification, placement and seam direction to make the designated number of unit squares for Unit 2 through Unit 11. Note: There are (145) units in total.
8. Sew together (17) assorted units to make Row One (Fig. 19 on Page 3). Repeat to make Row Three, Row Five, Row Seven and Row Nine.
9. Sew together (15) assorted units and (4) Block One squares to make Row Two (Fig. 19 on Page 3). Repeat to make Row Four, Row Six and Row Eight.
10. Sew the (9) rows together, in numerical order, to make the Center Block (Fig. 19 on Page 3).
