All of the tasks can be accessed via Microsoft Teams on HWB. Tasks will require you to use a range of the tools on HWB e.g. J2E, Flipgrid and Forms. To access Teams log into HWB and go to Office 365. Click on the Teams icon. Click on your class team. Go to Assignments and work through the tasks. Task 1: Wales Fact File: Fact file all about Wales. Edit the document that is on your Teams Assignment. Test your knowledge by doing the quiz – click on the link in the assignment. Task 2: Tourism in Wales: Go to J2E, shared files, tourism in Wales. Use the pictures and the map to place tourist sites in Wales onto your own map. Use the copy and paste tool to put the sentences in the correct place. If you are up for a challenge, try the challenge version. Task 3: Wales Road trip: See Teams assignment and follow the instructions carefully. You will need the map from your printed pack. Task 4: Maths Quiz Complete the Maths form sheets Quiz 1 (Addition) Quiz 2 (subtraction) Find the link in your Teams. Task 5: Reading Read at least one Bug club book and answer the Bug questions. Task 1: Mountains of Wales: Look at the PowerPoint on Mountains found in your Teams assignment. Complete the blank slides. Task 2: Rivers & Mountains Maths: Compare the mountains of Wales to the height of Snowdon and complete the problem solving sheet on Rivers. Complete the sheets straight onto your Teams assignment. Task 3: Rivers Deep: See the instructions on your Teams assignment. Use the Top Trump cards and your research on Welsh rivers to create a river database using J2E data.

Over the next couple of weeks you are going on a virtual journey through Wales. Each week you will be set tasks that encourage you to research and learn fascinating facts about the wonderful country you live in. Your learning journey will start in the classroom with your teacher on your set check in day. If you are not able to attend the check in sessions, you will be invited to check in with your class teacher once a week through a Microsoft Teams Meeting. All work must be completed to a high standard and must be shared with your class teacher by your next check in day. Digital copies of your work can be found on Microsoft Teams. From there you will be directed to use a wide range of tools on HWB e.g. J2E, Forms and Flipgrid. • To complete the weekly Wales project tasks set by the class teacher and share your work with your class teacher either before by submitting online or during your next check in session.

• Read at least one Bug Club book on Active Learn and answer the Bug questions every week. Your teacher will monitor this.

• Do your weekly Flipgrid task. Access links will be on your Teams assignments • Do the maths quiz that is set each week.

Optional Extras:

• Study a Welsh Castle of your choice. Create a PowerPoint or create an art piece. • Create your own quiz using Forms about Wales for a group of friends. • Create a fact file based on a famous Welsh person. • Create a storyboard based on a Welsh Legend. • Use a Welsh artist as an inspiration for your own masterpiece.
