What’s Cooking?

Top Search Terms for January

Home cooks craved economical comfort food favorites in January, no doubt due to cold winter weather as well as the sniffy, sneezy cold season, and searched for Chicken and Dump-lings and Chicken Noodle Soup. Apple searches dropped off, and cooks seemed to favor noodles over rice, while searches for pricier meats such as pork and steak fell farthest.

Sizzling! – (search terms moving UP more than 20 places) – Chicken and Dumplings, Chicken Noodle Soup, Pumpkin Muffins

Simmering – (search terms moving DOWN 20 places or less) – Apples, Casseroles

In the Deep Freeze – (search terms moving DOWN 20 places or more) – Pork, Steak, Rice
