AMEC was awarded the 2007 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence in the Construction category from the SBA.

The national award honors large federal prime contractors that have excelled in their utilization of small businesses as suppliers and subcontractors. One awardee is chosen in each of five categories from a pool of 2,500 eligible large contractors. In 2007 only three such awards were given to large business prime contractors.
