SITE LAYOUT DESIGN Site layout planning is an

important task that involves identification of the Temporary Facilities (TFs) which will be needed to support construction operations.

Site layout planning is about determining the size and shape of the TFs,

SITE LAYOUT DESIGNManagement must appropriately position all the temporary facilities within the boundaries of a construction site.

Proper site layout planning will improve site safety for workforce and public.

SITE LAYOUT DESIGN

Central zone The main building work or civil engineering

work will be under construction in this zone. Consider some of the main equipments (e.g.

Tower cranes, lifting or boring equipments).Inner zone Consider carefully locations for

loading/unloading, short term stores, storage of bricks, blocks, prefabricated elements, roof structures,..including temporary roads.

SITE LAYOUT DESIGN

Outer zone The out area must be all within the reach of

Main Tower cranes. Workshops Steel yard Wood yard Stores

SITE LAYOUT DESIGNBatching plant Batching (radial or tower system) plants are

typical in Greenfield. On confined site (congested areas) concrete

is delivered to the site. Access around the aggregate- deposit Parking and loading bay Supply, reach/access/service of mixer/hieght
