ProgramPurposeLandscapecompanies,retailgardencentresandnurseriesarerecognizedfortheircommitmenttoexcellencethroughtheLandscapeIndustryAccreditedCompanyprogram,aninternationalprogramofferedbytheCanadianNurseryLandscapeAssociation(CNLA)andtheNationalAssociationofLandscapeProfessionals(NALP–programpendingapproval).Accreditedcompaniesfocusoncertificationasacornerstoneoftheirbusinesspractices,conducttheirbusinessaffairsresponsibly,valuecommunityandcustomerrelations,andmaintainhighstandardsofworkmanshipandenvironmentalstewardshipinresidentialandcommercialsettings.

SealofApprovalInrecognitionoftheircommitmenttoexcellencethroughcertification,theLandscapeIndustryAccreditedCompany“SealofApproval”isawardedtosuccessfulapplicantswho:meetthecriteriasetforthbelow,agreetothePledgeofExcellence,andsubmittoaCustomerReferenceVerification.MaintenanceoftheSealrequiresreaccreditationeverythreeyearstoretaintheaccreditedcompanystatus.

• maintainingadrug-freeworkplace;

• participatingintheprovincial/territorialworkplacesafetyprogramstoenforcesafetyinitiatives.

StepstoAccreditation1. Applicantstotheprogramwillcompleteanapplicationwhichwillincludetheprovidingof

substantiationformanyprogramrequirements.

2. Uponreceiptoftheapplication,CNLAandNALPwillprovidetheapplicantwithapledgeform

(affidavit)statingthattheapplicanthascompliedwithalloftheLandscapeIndustryAccredited

Companyqualifications.

3. Uponreturnofthepledgeform,andafterareviewofsubmittedmaterials,thedecisionofthe

program’sgoverningbody,theCompanyAccreditationCommittee,willnotifytheapplicantofthe

resultsbymail.

4. IftheLandscapeIndustryAccreditedCompanyqualificationsaremet,thecompanywillreceivea

certificate,SealofApprovalusagerights,andmarketingmaterials.Intheeventthatthequalifying

standardsarenotmet,theapplicationfeewillberefundedminusaprocessingfee.Resubmission

willnotbeallowedagainfor90days.

5. CNLA/NALPreservestherighttowithholdand/orrevokeLandscapeIndustryAccredited

Companyapprovalfromanycompanythatshowsacontinuouspatternofviolatingorshowing

disregardforstateandfederallawsandregulations,notfollowingtheLandscapeIndustry

AccreditedCompanyPledge,andsuperiorstandardsasoutlinedabove.CNLA/NALPfurther

retainstherighttoalter,amend,change,andupdatetheprogramasnecessary.

LandscapeIndustryAccreditedCompanyApplication
