Hey AIESECers,
I truly believe in AIESEC’s mission to provide its members with an integrated developmental experience com-prised of leadership, international traineeships, and participation in a global learning environment. We, as the OC, are the core to making a part of this learning environment happen by organizing the largest platform in the US for learning and leadership: a national conference.
Not only do I believe you students coming to the conference will truly experience AIESEC's mission but also that this global learning experience will be full of AIESEC's values: activating leadership, demonstrating integ-rity, living diversity, enjoying participation, striving for excellence, and acting sustainably.
How do we do this while being on the OC? This is how:
The OC is the core responsible for making the conference happen. Therefore, the OC is taking the initiative to create a global learning experience. The OC is comprised of a set of students taking the initiative to cater to students and members who want to activate their leadership. The OC must work together as a team to main-tain transparency when working with various entities. Many challenges may arise through working with the entities, and each OC member must hold themselves to the highest level of integrity, most importantly during hard and frustrating times. Along with this, the OC caters to the needs of all attendants of the conference. As each participant is unique, so are their needs. The OC must develop and demonstrate their ability to work in a versatile situation making them actively living diversity. Lastly, the OC works as a team to provide AIESEC with a conference driven by the excellent and for the excellent, and they do so in an environmentally conscious and socially responsible manner. With all of this, the OC enjoys participating in their role and developing themselves, this conference, and each person they interact with along the way.
I can whole-heartedly say that I am extremely proud to be part of a team that exemplifies these values to the maximum and that strives to make Summer National Conference an unprecedented conference. I want to say thank you so much for the opportunity to be part of this great team and I hope that everyone enjoys this con-ference, and come August 9th, I hope that everyone feels that they are a more fulfilled AIESECer and a better person.
AIESECly yours always,
Maria "Hulk" Moussa

Centennial Olympic Park is a 21 acre (85,000 m²) public park located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia owned and operated by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority. The park was built by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) as part of the infrastructure improvements for the Centennial 1996 Summer Olympics.
Today, this unique 21-acre park performs a dual mission: it serves as Georgia’s lasting legacy of the Centennial Olympic Games and it anchors efforts to revitalize residential and commercial development in Georgia’s capital city of Atlanta.
The park plays host to millions of visitors a year and several events. The Park sponsors community-wide free events, including the Fourth of July Celebration, Wednesday Wind Down concert series and Fourth Saturday Family Fun Days. The Park also hosts festivals, fundraisers and private events. These events, in addition to the normal day-to-day traffic, bring an estimated three million visitors to this urban oasis each year.
