WHAT IS GSM?
• GSM is a TDMA based wireless network technology developed in Europe that is used throughout most of the world. GSM phones make use of a SIM card to identify the user's account. The use of the SIM card allows GSM network users to quickly move their phone number from one GSM phone to another by simply moving the SIM card. Currently GSM networks operate on the 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and 1900MHz frequency bands.

– Flexitalk is Mini BTS located insite the house, office.. where another Network can’t cover it. It have only 2 TRX, using twisted cable or coaxial cable (2Mbit/s).
1. City talk (900/1800 6TRX) – Called Indoor BTS, it can be able to use any where. Maximum
capacity is 6TRX. All kind of transmission is supported.1. Intratalk (900/1800 6TRX)

EDGE SYSTEM MODULE (ESMA)
• Main features:– Module for BTS common functionalities and internal/external
connectionsSupports up to 6 DTRX modules (up to 12TRX)
– 5 main functions of the module:
• BTS O&M: SW downloading and storing (2 * BTS SW), configuration management, reference clock and alarms
• BB switching: communication between modules via Ethernet switch
• BTS power distribution: single point for power intake and power distribution to all modules
• The BTS Software is stored in ESMA.• Connect to BSC by Abis interface

The Dual TRX Module is a two-carrier TRX.Support Double Power TRX (DPTRX).RF part with 2 independent transmit (TX) chains and 4 receive
(RX) chains
When using 2 TRX we have to use EWxA to combine 2 transceivers in one.
• DTRX connected to system module via single Gigabit Ethernet interface

DUAL DUPLEXER MODULE (ERxA)
• Dual duplexer (DDU) module together with Dual TRX create a logical Sector module–Min 1 DDU per sector is needed –DDU is attached to DTRX module
• DDU provides –duplex functionality to combine TX and RX signals to same antenna feeder –multicoupling–2 antenna connections (for 1 or 2 sectors)
• 2 TX inputs and 4+4 RX outputs (4 RX from antenna 1 and 4 RX from antenna 2)
• DDU contains –2 duplex filter–2 Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) with high/low gain support for RX signal–2 Bias-Ts with VSWR measurement functionality
• TRX loop is controlled through the DDU –Common TRX loop for all TRXs in same sector–Loop can be performed from either TX to any of 8 RX outputs (only 1 TX and 1
RX can be simultaneously tested
