• At least two similes• At least two metaphors• Multiple adjectives
Exit Slip
1. What is a metaphor? Use the word “moon” in a metaphor.
2. What is a simile? Use the word “orange” in a simile.
What is a compound adjective?A compound adjective is used when two adjectives are
combined using a hyphen to change how you describe a verb.
Ex: The five-year-old boy wanted the red balloon.
However, if the age comes after the noun (or after a noun and a verb, such as "Rudolph is" below), then it doesn’t need a hyphen because it isn't directly changing the noun.
Ex: Rudolph is two years old.
