CHRISTMAS IN POLAND
Before Christmas we buy Christmas presents for our friends and family.
We decorate Christmas trees with glass balls, stars, toys and paper chains.
On December 24th during Christmas Eve when the first star appear in the sky we take our seats at
the Christmas table.
We share wafers and wish other family
members good luck and good health.
Traditionally there are twelve dishes. The most popular dish is fish (usually carp).
After supper we give presents and sing Christmas carols.
At midnight we go to church where we pray and sing carols.
The next day is Christmas.
