CORE CHURCH LA
COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS PLAN
Corechurchla.org JUNE 2020

There is a GOD in Heaven that loves you!!
Overview Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Core Church Los Angeles
is taking extreme precautions to create a safe, clean and
welcoming environment. Core Church’s leadership has
developed a church specific COVID-19 prevention plan to
highlight our steps of prevention. The guidance from the
LA County Health Department, The State of California
Department of Social Services and the CDC have all been
used to ensure we provide the best and safest options to
keep our family and community safe.
Server Training Core Church LA is committed to communicate this plan to all the staff members,
the servers, congregants, and visitors. We will have this plan displayed in our
website, emailed to our staff, and available for reference at Core Church’s
Administrative Office.
Required Face Masks We will adhere to the guidance that our local government has mandated to
require all staff members, congregants and visitors over the age of 2 to wear a
face mask when feasible. We ask for everyone’s cooperation to bring in their face
masks from home. The church will have an
emergency supply for all of our servers and staff
that whenever they don’t have a face mask, the
church can provide one to them.

Sanitation Efforts
We are committed to ensure all public areas such as the foyer rails, door handles,
restroom area, children’s ministry classrooms, sanctuary and worship equipment to
be sanitized frequently. We have an appointed person to go through the church
using Clorox disinfectant cleaner to wipe down the public areas.
Core Church will use a fogging disinfection system to effectively kill bacteria, mold,
and viruses. The fogger produces a super fine dry mist that will ensure all surfaces
sprayed to be sanitized. We will use the system in the foyer, classrooms and
sanctuary.
Our Children’s Ministry staff will sanitize the classroom toys, rails, desks, and toys
throughout the day, before each service.
Our Worship Ministry staff will ensure that the equipment is not shared and once the
services are completed, they will be sanitized. Each singer and pastor will have their
own microphone mouth piece that will be cleaned each time it’s being changed.
The one microphone that may be shared will be wiped down with a disinfectant
wipe.
We also have several Hand Sanitizers displayed for the public to use. Our public
drinking water fountain will be temporarily shut down to prevent any community use.

Let’s do our part, stay home if not feeling well.
Fever Wellness Checks The church has invested in electronic contact-less thermometers for
Fever Wellness Checks. All Children’s Ministry Servers, Children, Servers
and Staff will be checked with the thermometer to ensure people do
not have over 100.4 fevers. No one that has a fever or showing visible
sickness symptoms will be permitted to enter or allowed to stay for
safety of others.
Social Distancing Rules
The state regulations COVID-19 Industry Guidance and CDC is recommending a
distance of 6 feet apart of physical distancing. Therefore Core Church is
eliminating every other row of chairs in the Sanctuary and Overflow Room and is
marking it with signs to enforce the distancing rules. Children’s Ministry classrooms
will also have social distancing rules in place to ensure that the children are not
sitting next to each other. Also where the parents line up for Check-In/Check-Out,
there will be decals that state where to stand to ensure that parents are 6 feet
apart.
For the time being, offering basket bags will no longer be passed
along from one member to another. The Usher Ministry will walk to
each seat and hold bag for tithes and offerings.
Cleanliness: All servers and staff will be encouraged to wash their hands for 20 seconds each
time at every transition throughout the day including entry/exit of the facility. If
washing hands isn’t feasible, there will be gloves provided by the church or hand
sanitizer stations where they can ensure hands are maintained clean.

Postponed Events In order to minimize large gatherings, the Church Leadership has decided to
postpone large events such as Baptisms, Vacation Bible
School, Serving Communion, High School Camps, Retreats,
Home Groups, and so much more until it seems safe to
gather once again.
Food Ministry for Volunteers Food and beverages offered to all servers during Sunday services will be provided
in single-serve, disposable containers whenever possible. Volunteers serving food
will wash hands frequently and wear disposable gloves and face coverings.
