Student response: The weather of the UK is becoming more extreme and this isevident from the frequency of storms but also the severity as they smashrecords. For instance in 2010, floods and storms had occurred; in 2012 amajor drought had occurred and in 2013 the record for the wettest weather hasbeen broken. This proves that weather is becoming more extreme. One exampleis The Saint Jude’s Day storm which had caused powerful storms and floodsin some areas.
This answer was awarded a Level 2/3 marks. How could it be improved in order to access a Level 3/5-6 marks? Annotate theresponse with suggestions/corrections.
