products. The best way to find

out which ones work best for

you is to try them out.

TThink of social media as a

private conversation. The

public can see everything you

post. Don't post anything that

you wouldn't want to say to

someone in person.

DORespond to people who post

things regarding your business.

DON'

TRespond in a way that offends

that person or makes them

angry. Getting defensive or

angry doesn't fix any anything

and will only make the problem

worse.

DOPost about your company,

product, or service when its

warranted. Social media is a

perfect venue to toot your own

horn.

TPost things about your

business, product, or service

that's false, or isn't meant to

be in the public arena.

DOPost deals or specials that

might give new customers

incentives to try out your

hate spam. We all hate spam.

Don't be that person.

the community. Employees

who are good citizens says a lot

Have fun using social media.

Being creative not only helps

your business, but can be very

energizing to a business.

TLet social media take over your life.

Social media tools are updated

constantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a

week, 365 days a year. You're not.

Make a schedule to check your social

media at certain times during the day

and stick to it. There is no need to

check Twitter at 3:00 am. It will be

there in the morning.
