C1/D visa is required for all non-U.S.

citizens, excluding Canadian citizens

and U.S. Resident Alien card holders.

Once you receive your LOE or LOG

you will use it to obtain a C1/D visa.

It is your responsibility to obtain this

visa from your home country before

leaving for your onboard job. The C1/

D visa requested should be valid for

multiple entries and can be obtained

from the United States of America’s

home country. C1/D visa must be

valid for the entire contract + 1 month

in case of extensions.

If you will be joining a ship in a port

outside of the United States, you may

still need to obtain a C1/D visa and

any other country visa requirements.

Your Hiring Partner may assist you in

obtaining these visas for a service fee.

It is your choice whether you use
