Use a Facebook Page, NOT a Facebook (Individual) Profile
1. Having an individual profile page for your county/REC/department violates Facebook Policy. Get a Facebook Page instead
2. Your Facebook presence will disappear if your staff does
3. Get analytics- who’s visiting your page, popular posts and when is the best time to post

Content is King - What Do You Want to Share?
• Status – link to your thoughts and resources. Try to include a link or photo or video.
• Photo or video – Free photo resources here– Link to the Extension YouTube channel– Event, Milestone or Question (poll)
Tips: - Clean up URLs/sites you link to- just paste the link and then delete it once the thumbnail appears - Schedule a post – instructions here - Mark your location if relevant

• Always make sure it’s relevant!
• Subjects could include: – New employee or retiree, staff spotlight or employment anniversary– Linking to a new publication on NDSU.edu– An award or honor – Timely information (i.e. fall gardening tips now!)– Ties to local, regional or national stories– Link to any updates on your website, press releases and media
mentions– Sharing valuable information from your News Feed– Just for Fun
