Ethics
What is it?
Organizational ethics are principles and standards by which an organization operates.
Making sure all employees, from the top down, are educated about the ethical principles of the organization is key.
Challenges with the Workforce
Lack of education about the different ethical issues that may arise
Lack of training on how to handle ethical issues
Ensuring there is a standard code of ethics that all employees follow no regardless of position
Establishing a standard plan of action for all issues that may arise

Two sides to the issue
Every ethical dilemma has multiple sides. Coming to a consensus as to the greater good (Utilitarianism) can be a challenge. In this case we have to decide to take away a person’s right to autonomy to protect the other patients and the company.

Policy to allow physician's to support and practice the death with dignity act, but not physically be present

The dilemma here is taking away the physicians autonomy to be present at the patients home when they utilize right to die with dignity, to protect the well being of the physician and the organization.
