Balancing your staff’s workload – especially during a nursing shortage – has never been an easy feat. The Assignment and Workload Manager module simplifies the task, using patient acuity and workload data to accurately forecast staffing requirements. Nurse managers are able to maintain equitable workload distribution in real time, improving positive patient outcomes and staff satisfaction levels. Through workload monitoring, vacancy fulfillment, roster preparation and budget data assessment, ANSOS One-Staff provides for flexible daily staff management.
Create Dynamic Workload Assessment
Using unit-defined patient assessment screens, Assignment and Workload Manager calculates each unit’s comprehensive acuity level, average patient level and total census. Units can reassess acuity as often as desired, implementing policies that support their best practices. Managers can easily change workload and target numbers to reflect the unit’s current reality.
Calculate Target Staffing Requirements
Acuity values and workload information are collected in Assignment and Workload Manager and sent to ANSOS One-Staff via an automated interface. ANSOS One-Staff
uses this data to calculate the cost center’s target staffing requirements for the upcoming shift. ANSOS One-Staff creates the current and short-term roster and sends a list of employees by skill to Assignment and Workload Manager. Patient-to-staff ratios and percentage of licensed staff are visible and reported upon for each unit, by shift and by day.

The dynamic Web Reporting module provides personalized, role-based views of current productivity and labor cost data in a simplified display.
