63% of students say that personalized and relevant outreach from their admissions counselor influences their decision to

visit or apply to that school

14% of students said a college's name recognition and brand was very important when deciding where to apply

Only 4% of students said they have no fears or worries about the college search process, half of last fall’s 8%

Biggest Fears and Anxieties

> 36% - Not being able to afford the college I want> 24% - Making the wrong decision> 20% - Grades or test scores preventing me from being accepted> 7% - Fear of being emotionally/socially prepared> 5% - Fear of moving away from home and fitting in> 3% - Other> 1% - Safety> 4% - No fears (This was 8% last year)

If a student is unable to visit any campuses only 23% say they will delay making a decision.

Students most want weekend virtual events that last 20-40 minutes and provide plenty of engagement opportunities, such

as a Q&A or AMA.

Fine and performing arts again outpace athletics in importance - 66% want arts and cultural experiences, 46% want a strong

athletics fan experience, 36% want a student athlete experience.

75% of students are eliminating colleges based on the total published cost.
