JOB SUMMARY:
Instrumentation/Control/DCS Engineer, with over 10 years of experience in engineering/design of multi disciplined projects in Oil/Gas, Petrochemical or Power Generation industry.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To establish design criteria and specifications for Control Systems & Instrumentation in accordance
with the project requirements. 2. Identify & analyze design changes & modify design drawings & documents accordingly. 3. Involvement in the selection of equipment and materials to project requirements. 4. Initiates the preparation of quotation requests and purchase order packages for procurement. 5. Monitoring progress and performance of engineering contractor / equipment vendors during the
execution of work. 6. Ensuring the scope of work, procedures and schedules are adhered to. 7. Resolving and responding to technical queries from engineering contractors / vendors. 8. Inspect equipment at the factory to ensure compliance with specifications and procurement
documentation. 9. Participation in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of
instrumentation/control packages as necessary. 10. During the Construction phase, assist in ensuring that technical standards and specifications are
complied with.
11. Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following the Companys Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
12. Attend and contribute to site and project technical meetings as necessary. 13. Assist in Mechanical Completion and handover documentation as necessary. 14. Participating in contractor corrective actions and ensuring resolution of nonconformities. 15. Pre commissioning, Commissioning and start up support to operations.
ROLE & JOB SUMMARY:
Management level interpersonal skills with EPC Companies & Design Consultants. Experience with large multidiscipline projects with substantial relevant experience in petrochemical or
oil and gas project environment. Experience in developing engineering design criteria and specifications. Preparation of quotation requests and purchase orders for equipments and materials. Experience in DCS, Safety Systems (SIS), PLC and packaged equipment control systems and field
instrumentation. Knowledge and Experience of Foundation Field bus technology would be advantageous. Experience in managing/coordinating engineering contractors and equipment vendors. HSE awareness & promote company HSE policy. Conversant with International and Saudi Aramco codes and Standards, IEC, IEEE and American
standards and software packages: ETAP, NFPA (for Fire Protection), OSHA (for safety regulation and practices).

Preparation of Instrument Sheets involving Transmitter, Control Valve, Pressure and Level Gauge, Orifice Plate, Pressure and Flow Switch. Familiar with RTU, LDS, DCS, PLC, ESD, P&ID including Material Take Off.
WORK EXPERIENCE: At least seven (7) to ten (10) years (post qualification) work experience as Senior Instrumentation/control Engineer in Oil, Gas, Petro chemical or Power Industry.
Must be familiar with specific phases of projects, technical studies, designs, specifications, technical plans, testing and evaluate changes as necessary.
Middle East experience is an advantage.
OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Possess good verbal and written communication in English.
Computer Literate in Microsoft Office & Engineering Softwares.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION: Degree /HNC in Control
Systems/ Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
CERTIFICATIONS: Computer literate in Microsoft Office & relevant Engineering Softwares. Possess good verbal and written
communication skills
in
English.
LICENSES: Preferably Licensed/Chartered Instrumentation/Control Engineer.
TRAININGS:
Must have good exposure to Instrumentation/ control installation and maintenance through various
training programs.
WORK CONDITIONS: Can work with less supervision and under pressure. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
