Executive SummaryLEAD Business Program was founded by executives of McNeil Pharmaceuticals & officials of the Wharton business school at University of Pennsylvania in 1980. The goal of this program is to take students of various backgrounds with high potential and convert into high achievements and responsible leadership.

The plan is to construct a social networking site for the LEAD Business Program. While LEAD has three divisions (Global, Engineering, and Business), this plan will focus on connecting prospective, present, and past LEADers within the BUSINESS division of the organization. LEADers will be able to share their experience and ask questions to alumni to have a smooth transition.

Similar to many organizations LEAD Business connect to its stakeholders through Facebook groups and a list serv. To begin the plan, we have created a social network using NING.com where users will fall into groups of the institution they graduated from first then by year of graduation.

For the plan to become fully responsive LEAD would have to get rid of its Facebook groups and use the list serv to get members of the organization to sign up. By starting this idea for the business division first, this could possibly be the start of a global social network for all three divisions.

Who Are We?

LEAD Business is national partnership between the top United States corporations and graduate business schools, committed to helping students from diverse backgrounds to pursue a career in business.

FEEDBACKThis midterm activity was an overall good and engaging assignment to do. Even though we didn’t have to fully carry out with the action part yet, the written plan just wasn’t enough for me. I felt I had to go and put up a prototype of the new social network. The part I enjoyed most was doing the actual research because while doing this it brought me back to 2005 when I was alumni. All of this increase my involvement in my midterm project.

Weaknesses:-Example provided late

Strengths:-Straightforward directions-Strong examples were provided-Gave a chance for us to dissect our potential users
