Upon entering WWII the United State’s military ranked 19th in the world. With the success of our country, and our allies, relying upon the American people, production, and military, we somehow needed to increase our efforts to ensure victory. Throughout our time in the war the United States sent over 16 million soldiers overseas to fight. It was now the duty of the Americans on the homefront to do as much as possible to ensure that our soldiers were well armed, protected, trained, and nourished.
