←←Summary: A very hungry relative come to Thanksgiving dinner. She brings a pie with her but eats the whole pie before entering the house. She then continues to eat everything at the Thanksgiving dinner. The adults are visibly alarmed by her out of control appetite and the children are de-lighted watching her stomach grow in size.
Activity 1
The students will each taste pecan, pumpkin, apple, and cherry pie. Then each student will pick their favorite pie from the four types. They will color and label the pie cut out according to which flavor they picked; pecan: brown, pumpkin: orange, apple: green, and cherry: red. The class will be given fifteen minutes to complete the hand out and then come to the carpet. There each student will graph their pie cut out in the appropriate column. As a class we will then count how can people like each type of pie, talking about the favorite to the least favorite.
