SSince money laundering and terrorism financing represent agreat danger for financial markets. Money laundering andterrorism financing are criminalized by law in Egypt.

In money laundering, the origin of revenues fromillegal activities is disguised; in terrorism financing, assets are collected and made available for carryingout terrorist activities.

Effective from 27th of February 2004 the FinancialAction Task Force (FATF) announced that Egyptis now removed from the FATF blacklist of moneylaundry. Egypt was finally removed from the blacklistof countries not taking adequate measures againstdirty money as per the announcement of theinternational body leading a campaign against moneylaundering.

Moreover, lifting Egypt’s name off the list of uncooperativecountries in the field of money laundering would enableit to deal positively with international financial organizationsand funds as well as increase Foreign Direct Investments(FDIs). Banks started establishing independent AML unitesstaffed with competent and experienced inspectors secondedfrom the Central Bank of Egypt.

In compliance with Egypt’s new legislation, ACT - joinedforces with Siron AML TONBELLER - which offers a turnkey,cost-effective and safe solution for all finance serviceproviders, to correspond to the national and internationalregulations for fighting money laundering and terrorismfinancing.

SironAML is a system-independent user solution forpreventive early diagnosis, analyses and monitoring ofstriking financial movements. Using Siron AML you meetyour liabilities within a short period of time; with moderatecosts and fast. Long-standing knowledge of the bankingenvironment, the conceptual participation of creditinstitutions and auditors as well as currently more than 500international installations at private banks, big banks andsavings banks up to the present day make sure that thespecific requirements of the credit institutions with respectto functionality, security, quality and efficiency are takeninto account to a high degree.

After ACT/TELECOM Success in winning to implement the latest technologysupporting Architecture for Voice, Video & Data (AVVID) at SAHL HASHEESHRESORT COMMUNITY, we will explain bellow the concept of Converged RealEstate Buildings/Hotels.

The traditional way of implementing the different community networks (i.e.Voice, Data, TV, Video, Fire, Security and access control Networks), was to buildseparate network per each service. Each network differs from the other in eitherdesigning or even implementation. For Example, TV & Video networks useCoaxial Cabling System with RJ58 connectors, while Voice Network usesUnshielded Twisted Pair Category III with RJ11 connectors.

Converged Network Services - a comprehensivesuite of fully managed, integrated data, voice andvideo services - is the answer.

With ACT, Working at a pace that’s right for yourenterprise, we transform your current environmentinto a converged multi-service network that givesyou control over your communications, improvedcollaboration across the enterprise, enhancedproductivity and better customer service. You’llenjoy a reduction in total equipment needs, as wellas cost savings on your traditional communicationsservices expenses. Using ACT Expertise you’ll getthe security, support, and reassurance you need tomanage increasingly complex systems as youcentralize your business strategies around the IP-enabled economy.

ACT begins by mapping out a phased approachto achieve the converged network. During thetransformation, we help you maximize the value ofthe technology you already have and focus on newtechnology investment to drive competitiveadvantage and improve operational performance.

In the end, you’ll be ready for utility-basedcomputing, the future business model forcommunication services - so you can enjoy pricingbased on the value delivered.
