The exhibition shows the pilgrimage made in 800 to 900 BC by people of the Andes to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac. This pilgrimage extended until the Inca’s period with the expansion of the Qhapaq Ñan or Inca’s Trail, connecting various regions of the Andes currently located in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru. The pilgrims transported fine objects to the Pachacamac Idol in order to ensure the productivity of the land and the sea. These assets, currently on display, reveal both the hierarchy of the pilgrims and the diversity of societies that were connected by the sanctuary.
