Nondispersing wavepackets

in two-electron systemsin magnetic field

Matt Kalinski

SUMMARY

• New split operator method predicts existence of non-dispersing wave packets in magnetic field for arbitrary slowly-varying potential in 2D

• Significant corrections are needed for equilibrium points in rotating frame

• Langmuir states stabilize in magnetic and CP fields (both fields are needed !)

• Quantum dot configurations stabilize in magnetic and CP fields (both fields are needed !)

• Confirmed in Hartree-Fock grid 2D simulations in Hartree limit

• Possible future research: Complex Wigner molecules in rotating frames within Hartree-Fock approximation (Langmuir states - electronic H2-like molecules which must rotate to exist)
