The bending spaces project suggests new opportunities to enhance the experience of downtown Salt Lake City. It provides dynamic structures to stimulate a new sense of appropriation and understanding of the district with an intervention that activates the streetscape through a comprehensive human scale.

Observations and remarks

This project asked for the design of a neighborhood public library with an heterogeneous program. Our desire was to play with the ambiguity of an open space to allow for fluidity between different program elements. The plan libre and non-partitioned space generated a malleable environment, adapting to the needs of user.

Observations and remarks

The exercise was to design a private accommodation for a collector and to implement a public exhibition space. The fundamental opposition between private space and public space has been the driving force behind this project. My party was to generate a dynamic form that could accommodate both types of spaces while retaining a certain fluidity.

Observations and remarks

The project was to rethink the domesticity of the North American suburbia within an high density agglomeration.Through this excercise, I applied notions of interconnections and osmosis to generate a new kind of social space. The different spaces were relating to their context, exploring the spatial limits of an individual within a community.
