Social Function:To describe how something is accomplished through a sequence of actions or steps

Generic Structure:- Goal : something to achieve (title, introduction paragraph)- Material : things needed to achieve the goal

- Steps : activities to achieve the goal

- Use of Simple Present Tense - Use imperative sentences (cut, don’t

mix, etc) - Use mainly of temporal conjunctions

or numbering to indicate the sequence
