A “pencil” tool is used to create a new channel

Creating new channels

We are going to create a piano sheet with double staff

After selecting a “pencil” tool, click and hold the left mouse button. Dragging creates a new channel. Release the left mouse button.

Create the second channel using the same procedure. The first channel is for right hand and the other is for left

hand.

Notation mode

A separate channel for each hand is created.

Click on Notation mode icon.
