Initially born from a demand by hotels located in the Berrini Area, a relatively new financial area in the south of the

city with a strong concentration of multinational companies. The hotels, like Hilton, Hyatt and Sheraton formed a committee to

discuss ways of promoting themselves and the area.

Promotional material was produced with assistance of SPCVB, to market hotels with conference and event space, and included all the other hotels in the zone.

This proved so successful that other hotels asked for the same and the result was a division of the city in five self-contained areas with their own infrastructure to host all kinds of events from 1 thousand to 5 thousand people.

Together with the big map, it was developed a site www.destinosp.com.br an electronic search tool (developed by SPTURIS),www.cidadedesaopaulo.com/mice and a publication of a schedule of events taking place in the city during the year (PAMESP).
