Scientific Method

By observing you can analyze

Collect data by using the senses

• What does it look like?• What is the texture?• What is its shape?• Whay color is it?• Can you see anything else?• Where can you find it?

By observing you can classify and compare

Group based on common properties

• What do these cats have in common?

• What differences can you observe?• What color is their fur ?• Are they the same size?• Do they belong to the same kingdom

or domain?• What habits do they share?• How would you classify them?

Observing you can formulate questions

You can start an investigation with what you have observed

• Do adults live in groups or are they solitary?

• How do they behave with lions from a different pride.

• Does a pride of lions have a leader?

Task: Science Lab 1

• Materials : -science copybook- Pencil /eraser

• Draw and make notes of plants in two different parts of the playground.

Tip: choose very different parts of the playground.

During an investigation you should evaluate, predict and experiment.
