Since 1960, the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) has been participating in the economic, social, political and cultural development of the State and of the country, establishing itself as a niche of excellence, and being ranked as one of the best centers for higher education in Brazil and LA.

• Imagine is a solidarity project, aimed to scientific inclusion and cultural exchange. UFSC and their partners will bring elementary scientific knowledge and conceptions to isolated communities in Brazil and in partners countries (Angola, Marrocos, Mexico, Peru).

• As a long term goal, with Imagine we intend to contribute for arising scientific curiosity and peoples friendship, promoting a better understanding (and, therefore, acceptance) of differences and similarities among individuals, ethnic groups, peoples and cultures.
