The Morris School District is seeking an accomplished, highly motivated educational leader committed to success for every student in the diverse PreK-12 school district. Located in a culturally-rich, thriving community 30 miles west of Manhattan, this district provides exceptional academic and extracurricular opportunities for 5,200 students in 10 buildings with an operating budget of $100 million.
Qualifications NJ School Administrator Certificate required Experience as superintendent required High school experience preferred Proven record of increasing learning for every student Education leadership with strong interpersonal,
collaboration, and communication skills Demonstrated commitment to parent and community
engagement Experience in facilities/building projects preferred

Checks finalist references/ in-district visits. Begins contract negotiations.
Early February
Submits new contract to County Supt for approval (30 days)
Early March Board hires new Superintendent
May New superintendent begins work in district, 60 days after appointment date
