Bonk’s enthusiasm for the internet as the ultimate tool for global education is invigorating and he provides many good examples of information sharing that did not happen prior to the wide spread use of the Web.

Bonk does not spend much time analyzing how the availability of information will lead to genuine learning – which is the question that most concerns me about eLearning. Access does not guarantee understanding.

In addition to K-PhD educators and students, trainers at small businesses

with minimal budgets would benefit because of the numbers of free or low-cost options offered in this book. Buy it

now, while the technology is fresh!Now you know what to get teachers for a holiday gift this year!

If the world is truly open, then this book should be shared in an open source format with

learners and educators around the planet. If so, then the resources offered could be

transforming the learning landscape to a place where

WE ALL LEARN.
