Psalm 8 (New International Version (NIV)) 1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger. 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place, 4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
5 You have made the a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their[g] feet:
7 all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, 8 the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas. 9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Note from Church Council, as part of our Fire Plan. Catastrophic - Code Red Alert Days On those days when a region is included within a “Catastrophic – Code Red – Fire Day Alert” any activities of the Uniting Church (including worship) should be cancelled or relocated to ensure that participants are not placed in any danger. * this includes those activities from outside groups hiring the Halls.
*** Please note changes to regular activities for January ***
Update from Kenya Fr Jason Micheni wrote that the vegetable plot is being harvested now and producing a good crop. The plot was funded by a grant from the Melbourne Synod Sammy Stamp fund. Other good news is that part of the plot was planted in Sunflowers as a trial and successfully produced two bags full of seed that can be sold now to help fund the next crop of vegetables. There are also 20 bee hives on a plot close by and I am sure those bees are doing their work and school children will benefit from the vegetables.
HV Being Together As there is no craft in January, we will be meeting
at Cherry Tree each Wednesday in January starting on the 8th.
