Hi everyone,

Wow! What a month. Our show-jumping competition has come and gone. It was a

great success and a huge thank you goes out to all those members that gave up

their day to help run the event. Without you we could not have done it! The jumps

looked amazing, the new trailer worked perfectly and the day went off without too

many dramas.

Our next rally is at Adam Wooten’s property again in Yarra Junction on Sunday the

7th of October – hope to see lots of you there.

We have the AGM coming up in October also – Wednesday the 24th. It is being

held at La Porchetta in Lilydale, the meeting will start at 7:30pm, but come at 7pm

for dinner and a chat.

I will be stepping down as President, so if you think that you might like to take the

reins, please fill in your nomination form that will arrive with your membership re-

newal and send it in. The job is both challenging and rewarding, you will be the

“face” of the club so you need to be passionate about Wandin Park ARC and be pre-

pared to answer queries from new members as well as being the voice of the cur-

rent members when need be. I am sure many of you would be up to the job!

I am also currently the TTT co-ordinator which I will be stepping away from also.

Please all seriously consider coming onto the committee. There are many jobs both

small and large that need to be filled. It is your opportunity to help improve the

club and the way it is run. Meetings are held on the Tuesday evening following the

rally each month and are quite a social event (as well as some business being done

lol)

If anyone has anything that they would like put in the agenda for the AGM, could

you please forward topics to me at megstaf@iprimus.com.au in the coming couple

of weeks.

On my front, I have a new horse. Her name is Ellie and she is a very green 4yo Royal

Hit filly (although technically 3 until January). I am sure you will all get to meet her

over the next few months. I am three weeks in now and so far she is proving to be

a very uncomplicated youngster which is great!

DO YOU HAVE A FLAIR FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN?

Introducing the NEW Wandin Park Riding Club for Adults Equipment Storage Trailer.

This trailer has been fitted out to house our existing showjumping equipment.

(unfortunately since being fitted out, we wont be able to fit much extra in in the way of

dressage rings)

Challenge 1.. Design a logo and the sign writing to be placed on each side, the rear and

possibly on a cover. Submit your designs as soon as possible.

Challenge 2.. Do you know a local business that would be interested in sponsoring the

trailer? Contribute to costs/maintenance of the trailer in return for prime advertising

space.

Webmaster Hi All,

I am in the process of trying to condense some of the information that is cur-rently on our web page. You will notice that I have deleted latest news & the gallery section. Most of our members have joined our Facebook page and so members can post pics/comments onto that page whereas the website requires them to be administrators of the site which is much more indepth to do. The website will remain the place to go for information re-garding the club and for membership forms etc but the facebook page and the newsletter is where you will get the latest updates. So if you have not joined our page go to

Currently I will post the rally schedule onto the Facebook page and the website but I will be ask-ing members at the AGM a few questions as to how they prefer to access that information. I will prepare a small questionnaire for members to complete so that I can streamline the info rather than having it in several different places. Look forward to seeing you all at the AGM. Members please remember to complete the ‘Green Book’ at each rally to ensure you accrue points throughout the year towards a free chaff chat or free entry to a TTT event/s the following year.

The person with the most points at the end of the financial year (October) will receive a trophy and a free WPRCA Membership for the fol-lowing year as well as the ‘Champion Member’ title.

You can earn points by just attending club rally days (either mounted / un-mounted), helping at rallies, writing for the newsletter, competing at official HRCAV competitions, or helping at our competitions, attending the AGM and General Meeting during the year.

At the end of the year, Members who earn:

h300-400 points - 1 x prize Prizes Are : - 1 x Chaff subscription

h400+ points - 2 x prizes - 1 x TTT Entry

The Club Champion will receive free WPRCA Membership for the following season.

This rule is assessed annually.

Committee Members DO NOT receive points for the committee jobs they do. Any member can earn the same amount of points as each other.
