PURPOSE: To evaluate each contestant’s preparation for employment and recognize student competencies in Graphic Communication Technology.

CLOTHING: Students are required to wear a polo style shirt and blue or black jeans. Jeans must not be free of any holes, tears, frays, or extra zippers/chains/pockets which might pose a safety issue.

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS: Students will need to provide all personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hair ties (if applicable) and aprons (optional). All competitors must create a one-pagerésumé using a word processor and submit the resume on the day of the competition. You will be provided a Mac computer with a current version of Adobe InDesign. Students may be running an AB Dick 9970 or 9810 offset duplicator.

SCOPE OF CONTEST: In accordance with the graphic communications industry, the contest consists of three unique but contributingperformance stations:

Electronic prepress Offset press operations Oral Professional Assessment (interview scenario contest contingent upon number of

contestants and available judges)
