Dear New Member:

Congratulations on becoming a member of the NAEOP family!

NAEOP is the only national association for office professionals who are employed in the educational field. We take great pride in supporting our members who work in all levels of education, from preschool through the state education departments, including higher education institutions. Your membership is important to us. It allows us to continue the work to represent office professionals in all educational areas, and to expand programs and services to make NAEOP a more viable and progressive association for the future.

As a NAEOP member, you have the opportunity to experience first-hand our four-point program; recognition, service, information, and fellowship. The NES Connector, our association’s newsletter, and the various learning opportunities offered throughout each year are also great informational benefits of your membership. We are very proud of our Professional Standards Program (PSP). This voluntary program, established by NAEOP to encourage educational office professionals to continue to grow professionally, issues certificates to members who complete their application showing their education, experience and professional activities/responsibility. Additionally, NAEOP offers both member and member dependent scholarships to its members.

You are encouraged to visit our website at www.naeop.org often to review all benefits of your membership in the association. The “Members Area” section of the website is where you will find valuable information available strictly to our members, including our quarterly newsletter. For login information, please contact the NAEOP National Office.

Throughout the year, if there is anything we can do to assist you, or any questions we can answer for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your membership and becoming a part of the family.

Sincerely,

Wendy L. Heslink, CEOE Susan Belliston, CEOE

HISTORY

The National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP) Foundation, Inc., was established July, 1984, following the 50th anniversary of NAEOP. The Board of

Trustees was formed with a representative from all areas: members-at-large, retired members, a Past-President of

What is PSP?

The continuing education of educational office professionals is essential to cope with rapidly changing conditions in the profession.

The National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP) provides the opportunity for members to enhance their professional competencies through academic programs, conferences, and institutes. These incentive activities enable the members to take progressive steps to their desired professional growth level.

Successful completion of a NAEOP approved program qualifies the member for one or more of the following Professional Standards Program certificates:

Basic Associate Degree

Associate Professional Bachelor Degree Advanced I Master Degree

Advanced II Doctoral Degree

Advanced III

Each certificate is based on requirements in three areas: education, experience, and professional activity.

Members of NAEOP may apply for admission to the Professional Standards Program. NAEOP encourages membership in local and state associations for educational office professionals, but it cannot mandate such membership. Graduation from high school (or the equivalent) is required.

Complete information on the PSP Program can be found at

http://naeop.org/2012-07-07-00-03-11/professional-standards-program.html
