• Women can run for office and vote in Iraq.

• 4,000 women are running for office.

• Mahdya Abed-Hassan Al-Lami, a teacher, in a candidate for a seat on the provincial council.

School

• Women in Iraq can go to school but are not require to go.

• Parents think their little girls are worth cattle and will marry them off.

Laws

• Women can divorce but they can’t own property.

• Divorced mother Haifa has two sons one with epilepsy other with asthma and a mentally ill daughter.

How can we help…

• We will help build schools for the girls of Iraq.• We will send over financial aid to Iraq so that the

women can get money to start their own businesses and support their own families.

• We will make money to send over builders to Iraq to build schools by collecting money through

school fundraisers across the world.
