MEET THE PHAMILY

With an audience topping 10,000, this March the Encore team met every challenge presented

by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical masterpiece, The Phantom of the Opera.

From learning the notes and dance steps, to creating a special wig, to organising the Front of

House team to silently pushing the Phantom’s pipe organ into place each night, a small army

was assembled both onstage and offstage to create this enormous show. And we think it’s time

you met almost all of them! Meet our wonderfully talented Phantom Phamily...

GIVING VOICE TO

A RISING TASSIE STAR

This March, Encore had the opportunity to welcome Matthew Garwood back home after a

successful stint on the mainland (or “abroad”, as he likes to put it).

Fulfilling the dream role of Raoul in Phantom, Matthew now has other dreams in

his sights. And if this screen grab from a current TV promo is any indication then

big things might lie just ahead!

May we suggest you keep an eye out in coming days?

NAUGHTY HABBOTTS

The Old Nick Company is delighted to present Tasmania’s annual theatrical bout of political

satire, satirical song and dance numbers, parody, and the odd (and sometimes very odd)

private part.

And, in ‘honour’ of our new Prime Minister, this year’s Revue is titled The Habbott, An Elected Journey.

But rest assured, it won’t just be Tony getting his comeuppance, although he’s certainly supplying the

team with plenty of great material. No one, and nothing will be safe from this Revue team.
