This August Danny Sacco, Managing Director of Lansdown Mazda, will leave Bath to

embark on the challenge of a lifetime, joining a convoy of all-new Mazda3 cars on the

9,300-mile journey from the company’s factory in Hiroshima to Frankfurt, Germany –

arriving just in time for the city’s motor show.

Demonstrating Mazda’s famed robust quality and reliability, the ‘Mazda Route3 –

Hiroshima to Frankfurt Challenger Tour 2013’ crosses nine time zones, � ve countries and

two continents, traversing Russia (the world’s largest country), before crossing Belarus

and Poland.

Danny will be joining journalists, bloggers and other Mazda dealers from around the world

in a convoy of eight new Mazda3 cars which will aim to arrive in Frankfurt on Saturday 7

September, three days before the motor show opens. Mazda fans can follow the convoy’s

progress on a dedicated website available at www.mazda.co.uk/mazdaroute3/ which will

feature a trip diary with images and videos. Danny will also be tweeting on the Lansdown

Mazda page so do follow his epic journey on @lansdownmazda.

Lansdown Mazda to tackle 9,300 mile endurance test

with all-new Mazda3After taking a ferry across the Sea of Japan, the main overland portion of the Mazda

Route3 endurance test begins in Vladivostok, Russia’s main Paci� c port, on Saturday 3rd

August. The British team will be among the � rst crews to pilot the Mazda3 test � eet when

they participate in the three legs from Vladivostok to Krasnoyars, via Blagoveshensk and

Ulan-Ude.

Danny is no stranger to a challenge as in 2011, on his 55th birthday, he climbed Mount

Kilimanjaro and helped to raise a whopping £85,000 for the armed forces charity Hope

for Heroes.

Enhancing traditional Mazda strengths, new Mazda3 delivers uncompromising handling,

safety and build quality. When it goes on sale in the UK later this year, there will be a

choice of two bodystyles (hatchback and fastback), three SKYACTIV-G petrol engines

In fact, forget six-fi gure price tags and humongous fi ttings dripping with crystals, the chandeliers of bygone eras have inspired a wide range of chic and contemporary versions.

Whether you’re after a design that’s replete with ornate

gold arms or boasting bold art deco charm, chandeliers can be the leading light of a room.

Lucy Powles, director of luxury design service Cocovara (www.cocovara.com), is a big believer in using a fabulous fi xture to really make a statement with lighting. “If you want to add a wow factor to any room, I always recommend

using beautiful and unexpected chandeliers,” she says.

“They become decorative elements as well as functional, and will add

glamour to any size of space.” And size is all-important when it comes to picking out

chandeliers, according to Lucy.

“In general, I’d say opt for bigger rather than smaller,” she says. “You can always hang the piece slightly closer to the ceiling so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming.”

With such a fl ashy focus to your room, it pays to keep an eye on the type of lighting beaming out from your stunning centrepiece.
