James Prosek: Un-Natural History

Anne Fadiman–essayist, reporter and Francis Writer in Residence at Yale–will read from “Collecting Nature,” an essay from At Large and At Small in which she recalls her childhood nature museum and ponders why we collect natural specimens. Her reading will be followed by a conversation with artist James Prosek, together with Fairfield University professors Dr. Brian Walker (Biology) and Dr. Scott Lacy (Anthropology). Bellarmine Museum of Art Director and Assistant Professor of Art History, Dr. Jill Deupi, will moderate.

An informal reception follows.
